Can not go Online
Networks can be a little troublesome at times.  Whether you are on a wireless connection or a wired one,  accessing the internet is never a guaranteed thing. 

If you are on a wireless connection and you can not access the internet it is probably because the wireless router has frozen up.  The quick fix is to just reset the router.  However though this may be quick and easy, it does not solve the problem.  The router should be tested and verified that it is working at its full optimal specifications.

If you are using a land based connection, then probably your inability to access the internet is because your computer is not configured correctly.  Misconfigurations can happen because of a program installation, Windows update, or just by accident.

Can not check email

some possible reasons:
